A good example of a parody horror film featuring such legends of the genre as Sam Raimi, Dario Argento and Tom Savini! Well, John Landis experienced in such matters became the director of all this disgrace, and his films “American Werewolf in London” and “The Blues Brothers” will tell a lot to connoisseurs of good movies!
The script is quite original and interesting. Marie is a young and charming vampire, her food is people from the criminal world, sucking them dry, at the end she collapses her victims' necks, thus preventing them from turning into their own kind. But the unexpected happens! Local mafia boss (whom she bit) is saved from the final ritual! And now the old and experienced fox begins to slowly reincarnate into a night-blooded bloodsucker, realizing at the same time its new possibilities and strengths! It can only be hindered by Marie herself who is trying in every way to correct her mistake!
It is worth saying a few words about the cast! Of course, first and foremost we recall the inimitable Ann Pario (Nikita from Luke Besson’s film of the same name)! Her Marie is so sexy and feminine that you understand those unfortunates who were led to her spell! And the scene of seducing a policeman is just aerobatics! Other actors also coped well with their roles, moreover, most of them played in films about the Italian mafia, so that their faces will be familiar to many!
There are not so many special effects and almost all of them are made in the old traditions of the masters of their craft, that is, without the use of modern computer technologies. There is music and, most importantly, it does not irritate and does not spoil the general atmosphere of the film, but only complements it.
Finally, I want to say this! This tape did not pay off in the American film distribution, like many of its relatives in the genre, but believe me, if you like parody horror films, if you are not indifferent to a good cast and cult personality of the cinema, then this film is for you!
